Bowen Island is the perfect location to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and to a place of relaxation and tranquility.
Located a short 20-minute ferry from the Horseshoe Bay terminal in Vancouver makes us the perfect locale for a weekend getaway.
If you’re taking BC Ferries, you’ll arrive in Snug Cove. This area is a popular launch point for kayaking and canoeing – and very close to Bowen Island Lodge. Snug Cove is also home to the Bowen Island Pub, a local favourite for enjoying a leisurely meal.
Once you arrive at our Lodge, settle into our comfortable rooms – amenities at the hotel include our own private dock and a spacious hot tub for your relaxation. We rent out complimentary kayaks and mountain bikes for a fun way to explore the island! And with the Lodge’s spacious grounds, you’ll have plenty of room to explore and partake in activities like yoga and bocci.
Artisan Square is a main attraction of the island. Stop by to browse local shops, galleries and food. For a more active afternoon, take some time to go hiking at Killarney Lake Trail and Crippen Regional Park, or spend an afternoon relaxing or swimming at Sandy Beach and Tunstall Bay. When you’re ready for a meal, the Snug Cafe, Rustique Bistro or Tuscany Pizza are just a few of the many fantastic restaurants on Bowen Island.
